2nd Coatbridge Scout Group
To help develop our own local run scout group. Also to do some much needed maintenance to our scout hall and improve our camping equipment.
What does your charity/project do?
The Scout Association and has a clear purpose to help young people aged between 6-25 years old achieve their full physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential as individuals, as responsible citizens and as Members of their local, national and international communities.
How does your charity/project support the local community?
We offer an open scout group for all boys and girls across the Coatbridge and Airdrie area. We were established in 1907 and still after 100 years continue to promote scouting and have over 75 children who meet weekly.
What do you plan to use the CommunityForce award for?
£6000 would make a huge difference to our group. We could do some maintenance around our scout hall and purchase some new games and camping equipment for the children.
